Invisible Grief: Pregnancy Loss in Trans and Gender Expansive People (Tavi Hawn, LCSW-C)

Cost
PLIDA Members: FREE!
Non-Members: $25.00

Pregnancy loss can be painful and heartbreaking for anyone who experiences it, but it can be especially isolating and difficult for transgender or gender non-conforming people due to a lack of inclusion in public dialogue and resources. During this session, participants will learn more about the unique experiences of gestating gender expansive people and how providers can be supportive during pregnancy loss.

Tavi Hawn (they/them) is a multi-racial trans/Two Spirit person who is author of “Cultural Awareness in Therapy with Trans, Two Spirit, and Gender Non-Conforming Adults and Older People” and “The Gender Identity Guide for Parents”. They are founder of a group therapy and training practice in Maryland, as well as serving as faculty with Indian Country Trans ECHO.
