 PLIDA's efforts include

• Organizing the International Perinatal Bereavement Conference, a biennial gathering of professionals and parent advocates that promotes support, education, and awareness
• Researching, writing, and distributing Position Statements that advocate for the emotional needs of bereaved parents, and providing information and support that professionals need to provide the highest quality care
• Providing resource sharing and networking opportunities for PLIDA members, creating both a sense of community among caregivers as well as an international voice advocating for the needs of bereaved families
